So you can book the right amount of time and avoid any surprises.
At Esprit Cleaning, we don’t believe in guessing games.
When you book a clean, you should have a clear idea of:
- How long we’ll be in your home, and
- What we can realistically get done in the time booked
Every home is different, but this guide will give you realistic time frames for:
- Maintenance cleans (weekly/fortnightly/monthly)
- Deep cleans (seasonal resets / one-off detail)
- End of lease cleans (bond-level, top-to-bottom)
All times below are approximate and based on one professional cleaner. If we send a team of two, the hours are usually halved on the day, but the total value stays the same. For homes with 3 bathrooms or more we send 3 cleaners +

* Maintenance Clean = regular, recurring clean where the home is already kept clean, dust and grime doesn’t have time to build up
Deep Clean = Dust and grime has built up over 6 months or longer, up to 8 years.
End of lease = property is empty and we’re aiming for real estate/bond standards.
You’ll receive your recommended time estimate when you fill out our enquiry form and we provide you with a quote and we’ll always confirm or adjust it with you if photos or notes show we need more (or less) time.
Maintenance Clean
Your regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly reset.
We focus on high-use areas (kitchens, bathrooms and floors) and keep on top of dusting so your home always feels fresh and hygienic.
Deep Clean
A more detailed “reset” of your home.
We do everything in a maintenance clean plus extra detail work - like skirting boards, ceiling fans, pulling up bathroom and shower drains, extra dusting, spot cleaning of walls and those “I’ll do it later” spots.
End of Lease Clean
Full top-to-bottom clean designed to meet real estate / bond standards – inside all cupboards and wardrobes, inside oven, rangehood cleaning, detailed bathrooms and kitchen, plus all surfaces and light fittings. Wall and blind cleaning. It’s more intensive than even a deep clean.
All times are per room/area, based on one cleaner.
The higher end of the range applies if there’s more build-up, lots of items to move, or extra detail work.

Time is never just about the number of rooms. It also depends on:
- How often you clean now
- If it’s been a while (no judgement!), there’s usually more build-up to tackle.
- How much is on the floors & surfaces
- Lots of décor or toys = more to move and clean around.
- Pets
- Extra fur can add vacuuming and mopping time.
- Special requests
- Wall marks, heavy soap scum, or built-up grease can need extra attention.
- End of lease standards
You’ll always have the option to add extra hours if you know things need extra attention like windows in bathrooms etc.

There’s space for notes like “Hasn’t been cleaned in 6 months”, “We have two dogs”, or “Walls need extra attention”. - We send a quote and you confirm.
Our quotes will suggest a time range based on what you’ve chosen. If we think more time is needed based on our arrival we’ll contact you so you can approve any changes. We try to avoid any extra costs to your cleaning appointment as we understand no one likes surprise costs.
Our goal is simple:
Enough time to do the job properly — not rushed. Most cleaners feel rushed off their feet to clean a large home in a very short amount of time. This creates poor quality finishes and unhappy customers and cleaners.
Please note: All times listed are estimates only and based on average homes in standard condition. Your exact time will be confirmed in your quote or booking confirmation. If your home needs significantly more work than described (for example, heavy build-up, post-renovation dust, or large amounts of clutter), additional time and charges may apply - we’ll always discuss this with you first.

After asking for recommendations for cleaners on the local FB page, Tahnya was the first person to contact me directly. We were moving from Sydney to Caves Beach and needed a house clean before the removals truck arrived the next day. I was worried because we wouldn’t know what time we would have the key until settlement had happened and we had made the drive from Sydney. Tahnya said she would be flexible on the day to fit in with what we needed and to just call her once we knew. She was waiting outside our new home before we arrived and was ready to go. She worked on the house that night and was back at 6am the next morning for another couple of hours before to make sure it was finished before the truck arrived. Just amazing service and professionalism from someone who is establishing her business. She did a great job and nothing was too much trouble. It was lovely to know the house had a decent clean before our first sleep. Can highly recommend Tahnya and her services!!
